RV-12 Website
For those following this site, you may not be aware of my “other” website. I am building an RV-12 (Van’s Aircraft) in my garage, and I’m blogging it’s progress. Go have a look:
Homecoming Week
Fort Atkinson celebrated homecoming week with a bunch of “theme” days at the high school. Here is a picture of my daughter on “caveman” day!
Brewer’s Game w/ Exchange Student
My kids and I took Pierre to the Brewer’s game today. It was his first experience with American Baseball. He was very patient as my son and I took turns trying to teach him the intricate details of this silly game we absolutely adore.
We got there in time to show-off the “tail gating” antics of most Brewer’s fans. The hysteria in the parking lot alone was enough to scare any foreigner away, but Pierre took it all in stride; taking many pictures along the way.
We got our first Miller Park Hot Dog and enjoyed wandering around the park prior to the first pitch. The attached pictures show us, outside the park, inside the park, and the view from the Metavante Club.
It was an awesome game, with the Brewer’s coming out on top. The highlight of the game was when I was fortunate to catch a foul-ball!
What a really nice evening. One we will not soon forget.
I gave the souvenir to Pierre to take back to France. There are not too many Major League baseballs in that part of the world, and I was only too eager to oblige.
Labor Day Weekend / Volleyball
We had a nice labor day weekend. See short clip of my daughter on the court. They won the whole tournament on Saturday and Luther Prep.
Saturday we went to Chicago to the Harry Potter Exhibit. It was pretty cool! The whole family went, and we had a great time!
Monday, Labor Day, was nice and quiet
Converting my Garage into a Hanger!
It was a beautiful day to clean the garage! I took everything out of it, and began to do some rearranging in preparation for my RV-12 kit arrival next week.
Here are a couple photos of the project:
